TULUM, THE STRATEGIC PATH OF THE MAYAN TRAIN
Considered the center of tourist activity in the Riviera Maya, it is divided into the hotel zone, the town, and the archaeological zone. And according to the Municipal Development Plan 2018-2021 of the municipality of this entity, the economically active population (PEA) is 59.7%, of which 29.7% are women and 70.3% are men.
Of the working population, the vast majority is associated with tourism directly or indirectly, so the Mayan Train will mean a new model of inclusive tourism in Tulum, in which wealth will be distributed in the community with the creation of jobs related to the construction of the railway, in addition to the attention to tourists and with the new service-related activities.
The train station in Tulum will offer a conceptual design of organic architectural fabric, in which the access, the public areas, the walkways with services, technical and commercial premises, as well as the platforms will be located, and will have large openings to cause crossed ventilation.
It is worth noting that this work is part of Section 5 of the Mayan Train, from Tulum to Cancun, it is the stretch that has generated the greatest interest in the tourist world and will consist of two parts: The railway work and electrification. This section will have an approximate investment of 30 billion pesos (MDP).Although the number of lanes to which the Cancun-Tulum highway will be extended is not yet adjusted, the construction of a bypass is already being
